This is a contested divorce suit. The original petition for divorce in this case was filed in October, 1952, in the Circuit Court of Henry County by Dr. Kelton Brooks Humphreys against his wife Mrs. Ruby Pankey Humphreys, seeking an absolute divorce on the ground of cruel and inhuman treatment and willful desertion, and also, seeking custody of the minor daughter of the parties, Rita Humphreys, then aged fifteen years.
