In December, 1899, the district court of Maricopa County, territory of Arizona, in an action brought by John M. Ward, plaintiff herein, against Moses H. Sherman and one Hardenberg, entered its decree adjudging that Moses H. Sherman, one of the defendants in that action and the defendant herein, was the owner and entitled to the possession of the “Sun Flower Cattle Range,” together with the cattle, horses, mules, wagons, harness, farm-tools, and machinery thereon.
