— Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Greenberg, J.), rendered September 17, 1986, convicting him of robbery in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial, after a hearing, of that branch of the defendant’s omnibus motion which was to suppress certain statements.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The defendant and his codefendant James Martin (see, *521People v Martin, 149 AD2d 534 [decided herewith]) were jointly tried on charges involving the knifepoint robbery of the complainant. The…
