The City of Colorado Springs appeals the trial court's order requiring it to pay a portion of attorney fees incurred by plaintiff, Mark Comte. We affirm.

I. Background

In March 2008, while acting in the course and scope of his employment with the city, Comte was injured by defendant, Laura Wilson. The city admitted Hability for Comte's injuries under the Workers' Compensation Act and provided him with medical and disability benefits in excess of $150,000.
