In the early part of July, 1920, C. E. Bryant at the instance of Mr. George E. Allen, attorney at law, residing at Victoria, in Lunenburg county, came from his home in Marion, in southwest Virginia, to Kenbridge,, in Lunenburg county, for the purpose of purchasing some notes held by R. J. Barlow and others. The plaintiff in error, J. T.
