COOK, Judge:

Contrary to his pleas, the appellant was convicted by a general court-martial, consisting of a military judge alone, of housebreaking, larceny, and conspiracy to commit those offenses, in violation of Articles 130, 121, and 81, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 930, 921, and 881, respectively. He was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement at hard labor for 3 years, total forfeitures, and reduction to Private (E-l). The findings and sentence were approved by the convening authority, but the period of confinement was reduced to 2 years by…
