¶1 In this case, we consider whether an attorney who admittedly gave false testimony in a court proceeding should be suspended or disbarred. Disbarment *675is the American Bar Association’s (ABA) presumptive sanction for attorneys who give false testimony in a court proceeding under the ABA’s Standards for Imposing Lawyer Sanctions (1991 & Supp. 1992) (ABA Standards). The focus of this case centers on the appropriate sanction after weighing the aggravators against the mitigators in light of sanctions imposed in similar cases.
