In December, 1930, x the appellant made, executed, and delivered to appellee the following instrument in writing, to wit:

“Know All Men by These Presents:

‘ ‘ That I, Lucy Chandler Reily, Widow, of Campbellsville, Taylor County, Kentucky, do hereby constitute and appoint Hugh B.
