*322On November 4, 2014, California voters approved Proposition 47, The Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act (Proposition 47); it went into effect the following day. Proposition 47 reduced certain nonserious, *409nonviolent felonies to misdemeanors. It added and amended sections of the Penal Code.
