Plaintiff Barbara Torsky filed the instant action against defendant Avon Products, Inc. (“Avon”) alleging breach of contract, retaliatory discharge, and handicap discrimination under Michigan law. The facts giving rise to the cause of action involve Avon’s alleged refusal to return plaintiff to her former position or, alternatively, to a comparable position following a leave of absence for a work-related back injury.
