This case concerns a consumer credit transaction between borrowers David and Ronda Green and their lender Johnson County Auto Credit, Inc. (Auto Credit). The loan was secured by the Greens’ van which Auto Credit repossessed and sold because it believed its collateral had been significantly impaired. The district court granted Auto Credit a deficiency judgment , against the Greens but also granted judgment to the Greens on their counterclaim because the repossession violated the Uniform Consumer Credit Code (UCCC), K.S.A. 16a-l-101 et seq.
