—Appellee Beauchamp sued the appellant railway company for damages for personal injuries sustained by him while in the employment of appellant as brakeman on its freight train. He alleged in his petition that while serving as such brakeman it became his duty to descend the ladder on a car, and that while doing so a handhold gave way and caused him to fall upon the track and to have his right hand run over by the wheels of the car and injured so that the two middle fingers and a portion of the hand had to be amputated, and the other fingers were greatly injured and…
