BLACKBIRD, Justice.

This appeal concerns an action to cancel a five-year oil and gas lease as to 80 of the 100 acres it covered, described as the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 18 North, Range 2 East, in Payne County, Oklahoma. It was brought by plaintiffs in error, who are the owners of the land, and who, as lessors, executed and delivered the lease to one, Payne, in the spring of 1951.
