Defendant, Dominick Giampaolo, appeals from orders of the circuit court of McHenry County dismissing one count of his two-count second amended postconviction petition at the second stage of postconviction proceedings and denying the other count following an evidentiary hearing. Defendant asserts that his second amended petition sets forth a substantial showing that his constitutional rights were violated. We disagree, and, thus, we affirm.
