Plaintiff Elsie M. Moldenhauer brought this action for the loss of her salary as a school teacher and for personal injuries, as the result of an accident which occurred about midnight on February 1, 1941, at the intersection of East Genesee avenue and Park street in the city of Saginaw.

Accompanied by her husband, plaintiff, crossing East Genesee avenue in a northerly direction on the west crosswalk, paused in the center of the street to await the passing of two motor vehicles proceeding in a westerly direction.
