This is an action based on a claim of negligence’ brought about by the plaintiff’s injury from a fall in the defendant’s Montpelier store. The jury returned a verdict in Miss Shea’s favor, and the defendant has appealed.

The appeal raises but two issues, both relating to the defendant’s eligibility for a directed verdict in its favor. Both relate to negligence. The first contends that the evidence, even taken in the light most favorable to the plaintiff, fails' to show actionable negligence on the part of the defendant.
