Joseph S. Hunter (Joseph) immigrated to *142the United States in 1924 and, over the next sixty years, amassed substantial assets. The present appeals concern the parties’ dispute over the ownership of those assets: on the one side are Joseph’s son and daughter; on the other are the children of Joseph’s long-time bookkeeper, secretary, and, later, personal attendant, Marian McKeever (Marian).
