BEAM, Circuit Judge.
Plaintiff Terry Christiansen, a licensed Iowa educator, filed suit in Iowa state court against his employer, school officials, and private citizens following his termination, alleging various state-law claims as well as violations of his procedural and substantive due process rights under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. The case was removed to federal district court 1 where the court de nied Christiansen’s motion to remand, dismissed the § 1983 claims, and remanded the state-law claims to state court.
