Cross appeals from a judgment of the Supreme Court (Rose, J.), ordering, inter alia, equitable distribution of the parties’ marital property, entered October 23, 1997 in Broome County, upon a decision of the court.
Plaintiff and defendant were married in 1983. In March 1995, plaintiff commenced this divorce action seeking, inter alia, equitable distribution of the parties’ marital property. Following a nonjury trial, Supreme Court, inter alia, granted plaintiff a divorce, distributed the marital property and ordered defendant to pay plaintiff $125 per week in maintenance for six years…
