OPINION

GARCIA, Judge.

This is an appeal from the children’s court’s entry of an amended judgment and disposition which deleted credit for time served on probation. The threshold question is whether a child is entitled to precommitment credit for time served while on probation; this question is one of first impression in New Mexico.

BACKGROUND
