11Appellant Adam F. Doty was convicted of first-degree battery in the White County Circuit Court and sentenced to ten years’ imprisonment. The Arkansas Court of Appeals affirmed. Doty v. State, 2015 Ark. App. 193, 2015 WL 1299886. Doty subsequently filed a petition for postcon-viction relief pursuant to Arkansas Rule of Criminal Procedure 37.1 (2015). The circuit court denied the petition after a hearing.
