On September 4, 1995, Hurricane Luis stormed through the Caribbean island of St. Maarten, severely damaging the Ser-efe, a forty-seven foot Tayana Auxiliary Cutter owned by Dr. Klaus Zeitler, appellee. At the time of the occurrence, appel-lee believed his yacht was covered by a marine insurance policy issued by CIGNA Property and Casualty Companies (“CIGNA”), appellant, and procured by Jack Martin & Associates, Inc.
