This appeal arises out of bitterly contested litigation over the applicability of a national “prehire” labor agreement to a worksite in Alabama. At ultimate issue is the defendant employers’ failure to hire the employees engaged at the site from the plaintiff union’s hiring hall. The parties have been ceaselessly embroiled in this matter for over eight years.
