KAUFMAN, J.
Plaintiff (real party in interest herein), a California Corporation, filed an action to foreclose a mechanic’s lien and to recover on a payment bond based upon its alleged performance of a construction contract. Defendants (petitioners herein) moved for summary judgment and judgment on the pleadings on the ground that plaintiff’s verified complaint disclosed on its face that plaintiff was not licensed as a contractor and that, therefore, it is precluded from maintaining the action. Defendants’ motions were denied, and this petition for writ of prohibition/ mandate followed.
