The appellant, Douglas Lee Henshaw, was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in a jury trial and was sentenced to ten years in the penitentiary. In two motions, he requested access to the private residence of Clay Dabney Snow for the purpose of in specting, photographing, and taking measurements of the purported crime scene. The motions were denied. The trial court erred in denying the appellant access to the crime scene for these purposes; however, we find the error to have been harmless.
