This is a patent case, brought for an alleged infringement of letters patent No. 624,828, dated May 9, 1899, and granted to Albert Lantzke, of New York, for improvements in fireproofing material. The parties to this litigation are both engaged in the manufacture of what is known in the trade as “air-cell covering.” This is insulating, or non heat conducting, covering to be applied to steam pipes, or other hot surfaces, to prevent the loss of heat by radiation from the pipe.
