JONES, Circuit Judge.
This appeal grows out of a suit by a minor plaintiff, a resident of Philadelphia, acting by her next friend, against the defendant, a corporation of the State of New Jersey, for damage for personal injury alleged to have been suffered as the direct result of the defendant’s negligence. The remedy was sought in the Federal Court for the District of New Jersey, the juris*769diction of the court being based on the diversity of the citizenship of the parties.1
