SHARON McCALLY, Justice.

Appellant Martin Fassi appeals from the habeas court’s order denying his application for a writ of habeas corpus under Article 11.072 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. See Tex.Code Crim. Proc. Ann. art. 11.072 (West 2005). Appellant contends the habeas court erred by finding that appellant’s plea counsel rendered effective assistance of counsel, despite counsel’s failure to discuss clear immigration consequences of appellant’s plea in violation of Padilla v.
