This appeal involves a wrongful death action brought in the Circuit Court for Davidson County against defendant, Dr. Robert Ikard, Hospital Corporation of America (also referred to as “H.C.A.”), and others. Plaintiff's suit against Hospital Corporation of America Park View Hospital, involving almost identical issues, is reported in 773 S.W.2d 932 (Tenn.App.1989).
