People v. McIntyre
Supreme Court of Colorado
1Opinion of the CourtJustice Boatright
€ 1 In this interlocutory appeal pursuant to C.A.R. 4.1, the People seek review of the trial court's order suppressing inculpatory statements of the Defendant-Appellee, Jay Car-wile MelIntyre. The trial court found that Mcelntyre did not make the statements voluntarily. We hold that, when considering the totality of the cireumstances, the police did not improperly coerce Melntyre into making the statements but that he instead spoke voluntarily. Accordingly, we reverse the trial court's suppression order and remand the *585matter to the trial court for proceedings consistent with this opinion.
