OPINION & ORDER
LEISURE, District Judge:
This is an action for a declaratory judgment pursuant to 28 U.S.C. sections 2201 and 2202. Plaintiff, Patricia Barrett Snyder (“Snyder”) seeks a declaration that defendant, National Union Fire Insurance Company (“National Union”), is contractually obligated to defend Byron Major, M.D. (“Major” or “Dr. Major”) in the pending suit of Snyder v. Major, 85 Civ. 9812 (PKL) (the “underlying action”).
