This is an application for a writ of mandate directing the respondent, as county auditor of the county of Los Angeles, to approve the claim of the Allied Architects’ Association and the claim of C. W. Maples, duly assigned to said Association. The claim of -the Association is for services rendered in the preparation of certain architectural plans for a proposed “Victory Hall,” for which an appropriation of five hundred thousand dollars has been made by the board of supervisors of the county of Los Angeles.
