Plaintiff James Mastandrea brought suit against defendant Chicago Park District for damages he received when his bicycle collided with a traffic island. Plaintiff alleged that defendant was guilty of negligence and wilful and wanton misconduct in its design and maintenance of the bicycle path and traffic island.
