These consolidated appeals arise from a lawsuit brought against the City of Chicago (City) by four pension funds: Firemen’s Annuity and Benefit Fund (Firemen’s Fund); Policemen’s Annuity and Benefit Fund; Municipal Employees’, Officers’, and Officials’ Annuity and Benefit Fund; and the Laborers’ and Retirement Board Employees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund, based upon the City’s retention for its own use of certain pension fund monies.
