NATURE OF CASE

Maria Zavala petitioned for workers’ compensation benefits for injuries she sustained while working for ConAgra Beef Company (ConAgra). The Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court trial judge found that Zavala had sustained a 50-percent loss of earning capacity and awarded her a 2-percent permanent partial impairment status for her right upper extremity as well as vocational rehabilitation benefits.
