The defendant, Lee Vrne Kelley, was found guilty by a jury of one count of kidnapping in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-92 (a) (2) (A),1 one count of first degree sexual *559assault in violation of General Statutes § 53a-70 (a) (l),2 and one count of third degree sexual assault in violation of General Statutes § 53a-72a (a) (2).3 He was sentenced by the trial court to a term of imprisonment of eighteen years.
