BORDEN, J.

The defendant, Scott Lewis, appeals1 from the judgment of conviction, after a jury trial, of *781two counts of murder in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-8 and 53a-54a,2 and two counts of felony murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54c.3 The defendant claims that: (1) the evidence was insufficient to prove felony murder beyond a reasonable doubt; (2) the court improperly limited cross-examination of the state’s key witness; and (3) the court improperly excluded evidence of a third party confession.
