The plaintiff, Kay Thompson (“Thompson”), has brought this action against the defendants, the Board of Education of the City of Chicago (“the Board”), Manford Byrd, Jr. (“Byrd”), and Norman Silber (“Silber”), pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983.
