This suit was instituted by Neil Smith against General Insurance Corporation for the recovery of compensation under the Workmen’s Compensation Act, Vernon’s Ann.Civ.St. art. 8306 et seq. Plaintiff alleged that on or about February 2, 1948, hé was an employee of J. O.
