At about 9 p. m. on September 21, 1935, plaintiff was injured when the automobile in which she was riding struck a barricade across vacated Entre avenue in the Village of Burnham, Cook county, Illinois. Entre avenue is also known as Center avenue. At the time of the accident plaintiff was 16 years and 10 months of age. She was then unmarried and her name was Leona Briske. Since the accident she married and her name is now Leona Ostrowski. In due time she filed her complaint in the circuit court of Cook county, and after a trial before the court and a jury a judgment for $3,000 was entered…
