OPINION
SAYLOR, Justice.
We allowed appeal to examine two issues: (1) whether the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board properly granted a *16rehearing to allow a claimant to defend a termination petition, although the record was closed after the claimant previously failed to appear; and, (2) whether and under what circumstances workers’ compensation benefits may be terminated based upon a claimant’s involuntary discharge from employment.
