North Star Steel Co. (North Star) appeals from a final order of the United States District Court 1 for the Southern District of Iowa granting summary judgment in favor of MidAmerican Energy Co. and its parent corporation MidAmerican Energy Holdings Co. (collectively referred to as MidAmerican). The district court held as a matter of law that MidAmerican was immune from federal antitrust liability under the state action immunity doctrine.
