ROTH, District Judge.
This action is brought under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (the LMRDA or the Act), 29 U.S.C. § 412. It was filed on November 28, 1983, by four members of the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA), claiming defendant ILA Local 1694 had interfered with plaintiffs’ right to free speech under the LMRDA, 29 U.S.C. § 411(a)(2), and had wrongfully ordered their expulsion from Local 1694 in violation of 29 U.S.C. § 529.
