On April 21, 2015, relator University of the Incarnate Word filed a petition for writ of mandamus complaining of the trial court’s order granting plaintiffs’ motion to compel discovery responses. Relator contends in this original proceeding that the challenged order was entered in violation of an automatic stay prompted by the perfection of UIW’s interlocutory appeal from a prior order denying its plea to the jurisdiction.
