The accused was tried by special court-martial1 for two offenses in violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 50 USC §§ 551-736, namely, larceny and impersonating an officer. He pleaded guilty to the first offense and not guilty to the second. The court-martial found him guilty of both and sentenced him to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge, to forfeit |68.60, and to be confined at hard labor for one month.
