We granted a hearing to determine whether the Court of Appeal had erred in granting the motions of the Agricultural Labor Relations Board (ALRB) and Admiral Packing Company (Admiral) to dismiss the United Farm Workers’ (UFW) petition for review as untimely.

On March 2, 1984, the ALRB issued its final decision and order in Admiral Packing Co. (1984) 10 ALRB No. 9. UFW prepared a petition for writ of review of parts of this decision and submitted it to the clerk’s office of the Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, on April 2, 1984, the 30th and final day for seeking review…
