This court decided, in the case of Kelly v. Brooks, 25 Ala. 523, that the party against whom a witness has been introduced and examined in chief, has a right to examine him “fully as to his knowledge touching any and all facts material to the case.” W0 think, the rule thus laid lown is sustained by principle and a preponderance of authority.
