The plaintiff, a corporation under the laws of the State of Connecticut, with its office and headquarters in Hartford, is engaged in the construction of state highways, and in October, 1928, was so engaged in this State and the State of New York.- In August, 1929, the plaintiff was constructing a state highway in Brookfield in this State, and James H.
