¶1 Under RCW 46.20.342(l)(a), the mandatory minimum penalty for a person who has three or more convictions for driving while license invalidated in the first degree (DWLS 1) is punishment “by imprisonment for not less than one hundred eighty days.” Colleen Anderson, who had four prior DWLS 1 convictions occurring more than seven years ago, received a 180-day term of imprisonment for her current DWLS 1 conviction and asked to serve her term on electronic home monitoring (EHM).
