This direct appeal by Michael J. Whyte asks us to determine whether the trial court erred in denying appellant’s post-verdict motions for a new trial on damages or, alternatively, for a new trial on' all issues. Appellant sustained serious leg injuries as a pedestrian involved in a motor vehicle accident. Appellant argues that the trial court erroneously admitted insufficient and incompetent evidence of appellant’s alleged intoxication thereby tainting the judicial process.
